Antique and Poster Style Bed Bolt

Black steel bed bolt with square nut used for wooden bed frames.  Bed bolts hold the frame of many styles of beds together by allowing you to fasten the bed rails to the posts in the end pieces of the bed.  There are differences in bed bolts for metal frames compared to wood frame bed bolts.  Some modern beds still use these bolts but they are designed to restore an older bed.  Don't forget to get your bed bolt cover item K-21

Kennedy had the best price by far, and shipped very quickly, but the bolts are not exactly as advertised. They are 5 3/8" long, not 6". The nuts are oversized and threaded off-center. I went to the local hardware store to get replacement nuts and found the bolts are not 16tpi and not metric. They are 3/8's by 14tpi and no stock nuts will fit. I will make do with the bolts and grind down the nuts to fit my project.
