Most Hoosier style cabinets had a bread drawer or bread box, and possibly a pastry drawer. These were metal drawers with a sliding, perforated lid. It kept the bread and baked goods fresh while keeping pests out. It could easily be wiped down to help keep it sanitary. These bread drawers and lids can be used as replacements for Hoosier, Seller, McDougall, Wilson or Napanee cabinets.
