Roll Top Desk Lock Key

The KY-8 is made from diecast zinc and has a shiny brass-plated finish.  It is designed to open roll-top desk locks.  Most skeleton keys have a bit on one side of the barrel but roll-tops require a double bit, one on each side of the barrel.  The bits on this key are cut in the most common configuration.  Our customers have had great luck opening their desks with this key so it is featured on our sample key ring the KY-20S.  Both the LRT-6 and LRT-4 roll-top locks utilize this key.  If your lock cannot be opened with the KY-8 we offer an uncut solid brass blank key that can be filed to the requirements of your lock, it is our M-4K.

Hardware Tip: The bow is the ring part that you hold, the barrel is the tube in the center and the bit is the tooth like part on the end.

this is a good key , but if the rolltop is really old you should get the other keyblank that is fully bitted on both sides, ive found that the lock itself is worn and this key trys and do its job but cant quite because someone has tried useing other tools , paper clips ect to force open the rolltop...
